This is a beautiful 73 mile section hike of the Florida Trail. It traverses pine forests, swamps, prairies, old oak forests and desert-like sand scrub. Terrain is mostly flat with occasional gentile hills. I parked and camped at the end point, Rodman Dam campground, then took a shuttle the following morning to Clearwater TH to start the hike. Water sources were available about every 5 miles, with one 10 mile dry stretch after the 88 store.
